YES Announce “The Fragile Tour 2025, The Album Series”
Band To Perform Their Iconic ‘Fragile’ Album In Its Entirety Along With Classic Cuts
The U.S. Tour Gets Underway October 1
YES — who are Steve Howe (guitars, vocals), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Jon Davison (vocals, acoustic guitar), Billy Sherwood (bass guitar, vocals), and Jay Schellen (drums)—have today (June 10) announced their “The Fragile Tour 2025, The Album Series” set for this fall in the U.S. This “evening with YES” trek launches October 1 in Wallingford, CT and wraps November 16 in Reno, NV. At these shows, the progressive rock titans will perform their iconic Fragile album in its entirety along with classics cuts from their legendary body of work. The multi-platinum album features their signature songs “Roundabout,” “Long Distance Runaround,” and “Heart of the Sunrise.” Fragile, the band’s fourth studio album, was released in the UK in November 1971 and in the US in January 1972. The “Fragile Tour” is regarded as a key moment in YES’ history — it’s when the band became a headline act in the US.
“All the band’s albums had a unique feel and approach,” says Steve Howe. “After ‘The Yes Album,’ so many things came together, with [co-producer] Eddie Offord steering the proceedings. While the band focused on only four main songs with full arrangements, each of us wrote and designed a solo piece, which was Bill [Bruford]’s great idea. It’s fairly ‘odd-ball,’ but we were at the height of our creativity, determined for success.” Howe adds: “It gave us confidence, further than our own in-stock belief, we’d crafted this unusual but noticeable musical twist to rock and what later became prog.”
Fragile also marks the band’s first album to be designed by Roger Dean. He would also design many of YES’ future album covers, the band’s logo, and live stage sets. This striking union of music and design is key in how YES’ sound and vision would be perceived; it also underlined how important artistic visuals were becoming in the rock world. On “The Fragile Tour 2025,” YES will perform in front of a video wall featuring animations of Dean’s art, bringing YES’ art into the 2020s. Roger Dean art will be available in the merch area at all the shows.
“Roger was and is quintessential to the look of YES,” notes Howe. “He’s still creating great paintings and design—he has no competition.”

The ‘Fragile’ Album In Its Entirety + Classic Cuts
After their hugely successful ‘Classic Tales Of Yes’ UK Tour in 2024, YES, return to the UK once more for a 9-date trek across the country starting on 22nd April at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow and ending with a two-night run at the prestigious Palladium in London on 3rd and 4th May.
The tour will see YES performing their 1971 classic album, ‘Fragile’, in its entirety, including such timeless songs as ‘Heart of the Sunrise’, ‘South Side of the Sky’ and the much loved ‘Roundabout’ as well as a selection of songs from right across their illustrious catalogue from their legendary 70`s releases right up to their current album, ‘Mirror To the Sky.’
‘Fragile’ was the fourth album by YES cracking the Top 10 in the UK in 1971 achieving Platinum status along the way and was the first to feature keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The single, ‘Roundabout’ was a Top 20 hit in the States with the album breaking into the Top 5 on the Billboard chart receiving a Double Platinum certification in the process.
Steve Howe: “After The Yes Album, everything seemed to align. With Eddie Offord co-producing, and each of us contributing solo pieces, Fragile became a bold statement of creativity. It was Bill Bruford’s idea to include individual showcases—it was a bit oddball, but it captured the spirit of the time.”
Each show will feature a gallery of work by esteemed artist, Roger Dean, whose paintings have graced the covers of many of YES albums over the years. ‘Fragile’ was the first YES album to feature Dean`s iconic artwork.
The current line-up of YES features Steve Howe, whose association with YES began in 1970, along with Geoff Downes, a member of the 1980 ‘Drama’ era line-up. Jon Davison has been lead vocalist in Yes since 2012 while bassist, Billy Sherwood, who was hand-picked by original bassist Chris Squire, has been involved with YES since 1990`s. Jay Schellen, who worked closely with Alan White on drums, completes the line-up.

YES recorded the original version of ‘Fly from Here’ during breaks in touring in 2010 and 2011, during which they enlisted former YES frontman Trevor Horn as producer. The alternative version of the album titled ‘Fly from Here – Return Trip’ features the classic ‘Drama’ era line-up who were reunited in 2018 to create a new version featuring all new vocals from Trevor Horn plus new instrumental parts, alongside a more organic mix highlighting Chris Squire’s unique voice and bass contributions as well as additional parts from Steve Howe and Geoff Downes.
The original album was released on 25 March 2018 during the band’s 50th anniversary tour and includes the six-part title track, the full version of Hour of Need, and album outtake ‘Don’t Take No for An Answer’.
